Writing Dialogues ( 10% )
Write dialogues based on the situation given by using the information below. Each dialogue must not exceed 10 sentences each.
Below is a short conversation. Note how the speaker uses suitable expressions to persuade.


Question 1
The roles : You and friend ( 10% )
At  the restaurant. The food is terrible,  you and friend are eating mixed rice, roti canai and ice tea. The waiter comes by and  asks  how the food is. Tell her/her that the food is not appetizing and why you dislike it.

Waiter : May I take your order now?
Latip         : I would like to have mixed rice and iced tea.
Noradi : I want to have roti canai and iced tea.
Waiter : Here  is your food.
Latip         : Oh my goodness, the mixed rice  is too spicy and iced tea is too sweet.
Noradi : The same with my roti canai. The gravy  is tasteless and sour please call
                                  the  waiter.
Waiter : Yes, may I help you.
Latip         : The food here is terrible. The mixed rice is too spicy and my iced tea is
                                   too  sweet.
Noradi : The gravy is tasteless and sour.
Waiter : I am sorry, Would you like to change your food  with a new one.


Question 2
The roles : You and friend ( 10% )
At your son/daughter or  your own birthday party. Discuss with a friend why you are really
everything the celebration

Latip : Oh my son/daughter birthday is coming soon  think I want to here a party for
 for her.
Friend : When is her birthday ?
Latip : Next week on Friday. I think I want to invite her friend and my family to her
 party .
Friend : What time you want to held it?
Latip : I think at night at 8.00 pm.
Friend : What types of food  u want to have
Latip : I think western food maybe Kentucky fried chicken and pizza for them.
Friend : Oh that is great!




Question 3
The roles : You and friend ( 10% )
At dinner, discuss a movie that you have just seen with your friend.

Latip : Have you see the movie “Ombak Rindu”  recently ?
Friend : Yes, it’s a love story and I think I like the movie as well my wife.
Latip : Yes. I also like it. I see I have just seen the movie a few times.
Friend : I think Aaron Aziz is great  actor and Maya Karin is a very good  actor too.
Latip : Oh this movie is from a novel and they make it into a movie.
Friend : Oh,  I see maybe the movie is as great as the novel.



Question 4
The roles : You and friend ( 10% )
The school holiday is coming soon. Discuss with your husband
/wife/friend what your should do.
Son : Where are we going for holiday this time, Dad?
Dad : Well, I have been planning a trip to Brunei. What do you think?
Son : Why don’t we go to Bali  instead? We could have a holiday as well
                  as    visit Aunt Jeha. Mum, you could do your shopping in Bali as    well. Summer sales.
                  Will be on and  I know you will be thrilled to get good bargains. I’m sure Aunt Jeha will be  
                   excited to see us after such a long time.
Mum : That’s true, but I’m not so keen on flying such long hours. Brunei is
` `   so   much  nearer and cheaper.
Son : But mum, don’t you think there’s a lot more to do and see Bali? Do  
                  you realize that you’re favorite  ‘Pantai Bali’ will be staged at Bali   Island during that time?
Dad : Well, what do you think?
Mum : Looks like I’m persuaded
Son           : Yes!
